Netsafe
The Netsafe product is a network-based security management tool. It is designed to assist Red Centre clients to minimise the risk associated with emailed viruses, worms and 'trojan horses'. The Netsafe product also facilitates the management of unsolicited junk email (spam)

How does it work?
The Netsafe anti-virus service scans email for previously identified viruses, worms and 'trojan horses'. If any are detected, the service either deletes the infected file or repairs the damage caused. All scanned emails are stamped with a message advising recipients that no viruses have been detected or alternatively that action has been taken to remove or clean a virus infection.

The anti-spam service blocks most unsolicited emails before they reach a reciepent's mailbox, thus reducing unnecessary traffic and the cost of dealing with unwanted messages. The service identifies sources of spam and deletes emails received from those sources.

Both services efficiently and effectively process all parsed email and the detection patterns and rules are continuously updated to keep pace with the rapid evolution of viruses and spam. Unlike other solutions, the Netsafe service attempts to clean infected email and block unsolicited data before it even reaches the recipient.
